DUTIES.

Some duties include the maintenance, inspection, and operation of the sewer collection system. Work in lift stations, use mechanical cleaning equipment, operate camera system and other sewer related duties as assigned.

Assist in the operation and maintenance of the water distribution system, new connection installation, valve and hydrant maintenance, and main line repairs.

Operate, repair, and maintain equipment related to the operation of the billing meters, pressure reducing and control valves.

Assist other departments and completes assignments and task as needed.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED.

The ability to read, comprehend and follow complicated verbal instructions in English and perform basic skills of arithmetic, writing and use of a computer.

General knowledge of water and sewer system operation and maintenance principles and practices.

Possess the knowledge of the operation and maintenance of water and sewer systems and Utah State regulations concerning water quality.

Ability to use hand tools, operate and maintain light to heavy equipment.

Ability to develop and maintain an effective working relationship with others and deal courteously and professionally with the public.

            Knowledge of safety precautions and procedures for the protection of self and others.

DESIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES.

                        Hydro-Excavator operation and maintenance experience.

                        Traffic Control Experience

                        Pipeline installation and maintenance experience.

                        Understanding of general construction procedures.

                        Water Distribution Grade III or Sewer Collection Grade III Certification

                         Possess a valid Utah driver's license with CDL endorsement, or the ability to obtain CDL endorsement.
