Amazon Sr. Partner Sales Manager - Automotive & Manufacturing in Tokyo, Japan

As a Senior Partner Sales Manager focused on AWS’ Automotive customers, you will have the exciting opportunity to help create and execute a partner strategy to build mind share and adoption of Amazon’s 200+ services (Amazon S3, Amazon EC2, Amazon RDS, Sagemaker, etc.) across AWS’s most strategic customers and business partners who support them.

You will help drive sales execution with AWS partners (System Integrators, Technology Partners, Business Consulting Partners) by teaming with AWS field leaders in the Automotive Industry Business Unit. This requires building executive and field relationships with partners, customers and the AWS team. You will be responsible for helping driving top line revenue growth via partner led and supported opportunities and you will work with partners to source new engagements within these strategic accounts. You will work with the Partner Development Managers and broader APN Segment teams to identify and engage partners in dozens of solution areas including Automotive workloads, Business Applications, Big Data, IoT, Migration, Managed Services, and Digital Transformation.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong sales and partner background that enables them engage at the CXO level, as well as a solid technical sales background that enables them to easily interact with technical leaders within and outside of AWS. They should have an Automotive industry background and understand the key challenges and opportunities that exist for our Automotive customers. He/she should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years experience working for/with Consulting Partners or System Integrators to drive strong customer outcomes and new sales growth.

• 5+ years experience working in the Automotive industry in a sales, business development or partner capacity.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years experience with SaaS solutions, IT sales, datacenter sales, and/or cloud adoption.

• Deep knowledge and experience working with Automotive partner landscape (ISVs, G/SIs) and solutions

• Highly self-motivated and entrepreneurial

• Ability to manage complex contract negotiations

• Experience with complex bid and proposal processes that bring together multiple partners to formulate and submit winning proposals

• The right person will possess significant experience in sales and partner/business development.

• Experience engaging and influencing C-level executives, both business and technical

• Track record of consistently exceeding quota and key performance metrics including sell-through/with motions with partners.

• Create and manage pipeline and output metrics reporting

• Experience presenting and articulating complex business and technical concepts to cross-functional audiences

• Experience working effectively across different sales, business development and technical teams, bringing together a cross functional team to deliver results.
