Director, Software Engineering (multiple positions available)

Salesforce Inc. has multiple job openings for Directors, Software Engineering in Seattle, WA:

Job Duties: Plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as electronic data processing, information systems, systems analysis, and computer programming. Lead, mentor, guide, and grow a team of talented engineers building scalable, performant, secure, and feature-rich services. Help design and roll-out internal process workflows and metrics. Provide guidance and coaching to help teams understand and follow best practices. Drive execution and delivery by collaborating with cross functional teams, architects, product owners and engineers. Prepare and analyze large volumes of customer, product, marketing, sales and system activity data and recommend possible upgrades for top executives to consider. Assess the costs and benefits of new projects and measure, interpret, and scale the continuous improvement of processes and business Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into functional and technical design specifications and implementation plans. Support ongoing business performance and trends analyses as required to inform management decisions. Above address additionally encompasses the following Salesforce locations in the Seattle area: 744 N. 34th St. Seattle, WA 98103, 701 N. 34th St., Seattle, WA 98103, and 929 108th Ave, Bellevue, WA 98004. The permanent position may be offered at any of these locations in the Seattle area. *Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.

Minimum Requirements: Master's degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or related field of study, and two (2) years of experience in job offered or in any occupation in related field OR Bachelor's degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or related field of study, and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in job offered or in any occupation in related field.

A related technical degree required (Computer Science, Engineering (any field)).

Special Skill Requirements: (1) Object-oriented programming (Java and Python); (2) SOAP and REST APIs; (3) Software Quality/Testing; (4) SQL; (5) Amazon Web Services (AWS); (6) Database Management Systems; (7) Integration and ETL technologies; and (8) Machine Learning.

Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.

Salary: $229,986.00 - $296,400.00 per annum.
