Energy Transfer Company Manager - Pipeline Operations - 2410000805 in Oxford, Mississippi

This is a job for a Manager - Pipeline Operations position with a company located in Oxford, MS.

Job Summary: This position is a will hold the responsibility for the overall safe and efficient operation and maintenance of all pipeline systems within Mayersville to Clarkson, MS.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Manages the operation and maintenance of pipeline systems in Mayersville to Clarkson, MS to include technicians and operators. Monitors administration of company policy. Evaluates employee performance and goal achievement. Responsible for review of and implementation of expense, O&M and capital budgets and projects. Provides guidance to resolve technical and operational problems as required. Works unified with shared service departments to maintain consistency with all areas of business and maximize benefits of all departments. Supports capital projects through project commissioning activities. Ensures compliance with federal, state and local regulations, and company policy. Ensure equipment reliability and efficiency with the support and use of the preventative maintenance initiatives developed by the Operations Excellence group. Prepare and manage technical maintenance expense budget to complete required repairs/upgrades at a minimum cost and perform budget re-forecasting as appropriate. Knowledgeable of emergency plans and procedures to take prompt and appropriate action in an event. Strong Knowledge of 49 CFR 195 and pipeline/Facility construction. Provide recommendations for system operational improvements through submission of capital and expense projects as part of the annual budgeting process. Support and assist with all HES training activities, updates and compliance with HES policies and procedures. Provide supervisory relief in various areas in the event of a pipeline emergency or business need. Assure all CDMS and SOP assignments for group are completed as required.

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience Broad and varied experience in maintenance and operations of pipelines. Must be able to perform in a fast paced ever changing environment, and simultaneously manage numerous activities at once. Sound technical, operational, administrative, and maintenance judgment and decision making skills are required. Proven ability to manage large numbers of employees. 8+ years of relevant work experience Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills required. Must have knowledge of maintenance and repair of pumps and motors. Must possess strong troubleshooting, problem solving, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Experience with Microsoft office. Must be a self-starter with the ability to work in a team environment or independently as the workload requires. Must have a well-rounded maintenance/operational background and strong technical/mathematical skills. Technical expertise in control, SCADA, and communications systems, a plus. Responsible for ensuring compliance with all Federal, State, Local and Company regulations including DOT, EPA, PSM, OSHA, etc. Contribute to cost estimates and planning of projects and act as project manager. Assure Tech group Operator Qualifications are current and provide training/qualification guidance as required. Able to understand and follow P&ID drawings and electrical drawings and redline as required.

Preferred Qualifications: Supervisory experience within a union workforce, preferred. Familiar with SAP maintenance and accounting applications preferred. Knowledge of collective bargaining agreement, a plus. Knowledge/Experience with control valve operation, VFDs, industry specific Instrumentation, electrical, and communication equipment.

Preferred Experience: Familiar with regulatory guidelines of government agencies and with the Incident Command System concerning emergency response. Previous experience as Incident Commander. Experience staffing and hiring fiel teams. Special Considerations.

Working Conditions: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Usually, normal office working conditions. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing. Occasional overnight travel may be required. Normal office working conditions with approximately 30% of the time in the field. Position is based in industrial settings which may include hazardous materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
