Job Description

The Senior Tax Accountant is an integral member of the Lion Re:Sources organization. This dynamic position will be responsible for providing analysis and recommendations on various indirect tax issues.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of complex indirect returns (property, sales/use, business license, lease transaction tax)

  • Responsible for maintenance of Vertex tax software

  • Preparation of audit support and perform tax analysis to mitigate tax assessments

  • Review reconciliations of general ledger sales, use and property tax accounts

  • Perform due diligence to ensure compliance with applicable state and local registration and filing obligations

  • Monitor company compliance with respect to exemption, direct pay, and resale certificates

  • Perform multistate sales and use tax research and provide guidance to internal partners

  • Work on state & local projects and tasks as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance or related field, Masters or CPA a plus

  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills

  • Must be motivated to meet tight deadlines

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple task as required

  • Ability to perform tax research using CCH

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft word, excel, and PowerPoint

  • Advertising background preferred

  • Prefers multi-state sales/use, property, and other Indirect tax experience

  • Experience with SAP and Vertex a plus

The salary range is $70,000 - $80,000k. This is the salary the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this salary range at any time
