Medical Coding Auditor - CPC or CCS

Location: Lawrenceville, GA - ONSITE

Experience Level: Expert level

Employment Type: Full-Time

Pay: $30-35 per hour

Shift: Monday-Friday 8-4:30pm OR 8:30-5pm ( Flex schedule after 90 days/once acclimated)

Job Description:

Certified Coder will go through previously coded medical records to research and uncover errors to re-code and resubmit to insurance for payment of claims. Additionally, they will audit existing codes to ensure proper coding prior to submission to insurance payers. Will be assigned a specific work que/bucket.

Qualifications:

· Active CPC or CCS certification counting or Banking Knowledge

· RHIT or RHIA highly preferred

Necessary Skills:

4-5 years of hospital coding | 1-3 years of auditing experience | Bonus: Oncology or Hematology experience
