Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Designer with Revit® design experience to join our team.

What you'll be doing:

  • Assist engineers in the preparation of drawings, calculations, and specifications for electrical designs for commercial and industrial projects.

  • Use Revit® to prepare difficult and complex mechanical layouts and design drawings using theoretical and practical design knowledge.

  • Interpret and ensure conformance to applicable standards and codes, as well as company policies and procedures.

  • Understand and implement advanced software to complete assignments.

  • Meet layout requirements and develop alternate design layouts of systems as required.

  • Ensure compliance with required design safety factors, tolerances, and specifications.

  • Review supplier data and supplier/manufacturer drawings.

  • Check orthographic (2D) and/or isometric (3D) drawings prepared by others.

  • Perform checking procedures as appropriate to the discipline and assigned by immediate supervisor.

  • Assist in training junior designers in various procedures and practices.

  • Some travel may be required

What required skill you'll bring:

  • Minimum of two years of Revit® MEP design experience.

  • Minimum of two years of AutoCAD MEP design experience.

  • Associate's or equivalent technical degree or certificate of completion from an accredited designer/drafter course is preferred but not required.

  • Minimum of four years of relevant experience working on government, commercial and industrial facility projects.

  • Strong PC and CAD skills, as well as efficiency in utilizing computer software to complete design assignments.

Salary Range:

$29.42 - $51.49
