Aerotek Fabricator in Kent, Washington

Will be responsible for handling general PM's on things like electrical, brakes, air systems, and fluid replacement. A large part of the job though is maintaining tanker trailers used for things like transporting liquids like fuel and food materials. This requires the mechanics to climb through the hatch to the inside of the trailer. THEY MUST BE OK WITH CONFINED SPACES AND HEIGHTS. (They have a variety of safety measures in place like fall protection lines, respirators, and life line systems). This requires them to be proficient in fabrication and mechanical work. They will be tearing down damaged trailers and replacing the damaged sections with new parts or parts that they will manufacture on site with the machinery there. Willing to teach welding for the right candidates. Responsible for various types of aluminum weld preparation, welding and weld finishing operations to manufacture aluminum product to drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction while working at a consistent speed with a minimum of repairs and following specific instructions in the weld out of commercial vehicles following project schedules and meeting established budgets.
