Intel FSM Equipment Productivity Technologist in Hillsboro, Oregon

Job Description

The FSM Equipment Productivity Group is hiring productivity technologists to develop world class productivity and manufacturability solutions for our factories. With Intel's ambitious high volume manufacturing goals, the focus on equipment performance and productivity has never been more critical to the future success of the company.

The FSM Equipment Productivity Principal Engineer will apply first principles to achieve best in world module productivity in our current factories. You will need to: - Identify emerging challenges for manufacturing efficiency and deliver innovative solutions. - Work in a highly dynamic environment, with a large number of stakeholders. This requires the ability to prioritize critical projects and formulate clear goals and vision. - Collaborate with process modules to apply basic scientific fundamentals to solve longstanding chronic manufacturing problems. - Identify opportunities to re-optimize equipment designs, software and configurations to deliver world class manufacturability and cost performance. - Partner with TD, supply chain, and suppliers to establish best output targets for future nodes. - Work with supply chain to increase and enforce productivity focus inside purchase specs. - Develop enabling equipment support systems (APC, machine learning, predictive analytics) - Develop business process to push past MOR commitments to avoid capital spending. - Must be willing to work in a clean room environment wearing a gown, hood, booties, safety glasses, and gloves.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a technical discipline such as Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Industrial Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or related field.

  • Significant Experience in collaborating with or working in major semiconductor suppliers.

  • 10+ years of manufacturing process development experience working with advanced semiconductor technology nodes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PhD degree in a technical discipline such as Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Industrial Engineering, Physics, or Chemistry

  • 15+ years process and equipment development or sustaining high volume factory experience in the semiconductor industry.

  • Foundry or external equipment supplier experience.

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
