International Sales Specialist

Purpose and Scope/General Summary: W e are seeking an International Sales Specialist to join our Pilgrim’s sales team! The sales specialist will be responsible for assisting the sales team and customers throughout the entire sales process. This individual must present a positive and professional experience for the customers as well as work efficiently behind the scenes with the sales team and other staff throughout the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Verification of order information between sales manager and order entry.

  • Assists sales manager with set up of new customers.

  • Processes daily purchase agreements and proformas.

  • Updates and maintains all orders in sales tracking file.

  • Follows up with customer regarding payments, including before shipment and upon arrival.

  • Maintains and updates customer profile database for all customers including shipping instructions and consignees.

  • Requests allocation from supply chain team through SharePoint when orders are ready for fulfillment.

  • Coordinates with order processing team to ensure accuracy of customer instructions including but not limited to port of destination and documentation instructions.

  • Coordinates between credit, logistics, and customer on any discrepancies on documentation and order fulfillment.

  • Thoroughly reviews customer documentation issues and advises of changes to documentation team in a timely fashion to allow import without delay.

  • Cooperates with customs agents to comply with policy requirements and allow for swift declaration and importation of cargo.

  • Investigates and collects information regarding customer claims.

  • Communicates with sales team on a daily basis regarding status of pending orders and issues, and escalates issues, when necessary, in a timely fashion.

  • Promotes a positive and professional representation of the company to each customer.

  • Maintains ability to perform efficiently and follow through on all details, in a fast-paced, customer focused environment.

  • Participates weekly in meetings with supervisor and other staff as needed.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business Administration

  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite required.

  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills is a must with the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and judgment to prioritize workload.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with all levels of the organization

  • Excellent phone and strong presentation skills.

  • Ability to handle and coordinate multiple projects at the same time.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Know when and how to ask questions.

  • Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

  • As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. Unless otherwise specified in this posting, the amount of travel may vary and the most qualified candidate must be willing and able to travel as business needs dictate.

    The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits :

  • Benefits : Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;

  • Paid Time Off : sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;

  • 401(k) : company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;

  • Base salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 ; and

  • Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program;
