A member of the Office of Communications and Marketing, the Multimedia Producer works closely under the direction of the Director of Communications to develop and produce on-brand video content to support Mines' institutional, recruitment, and communications goals. The Multimedia Producer collaborates with campus partners, including Admissions and academic departments, to produce compelling video content that reinforces the Mines brand. The Multimedia Producer also oversees student workers who serve as content creators on behalf of Mines, managing their assignments, professional development, and compensation.

A flexible work arrangement is available for this role, though the majority of work will be on campus in Golden in order to capture events and on-location shoots, and may require working outside traditional 8 to 5 p.m. hours.

RESPONSIBILITIES Produce, edit and manage multimedia From concept development to post-production, create, edit and manage branded video content to support storytelling in order to build awareness, drive excitement, strengthen the Mines brand and prompt action Leverage multimedia to showcase programs, people, activities and testimonials Develop short-form video content for social media and digital advertising purposes Work with the editorial team to actively seek out stories to tell through multimedia, primarily video content Occasionally photograph campus and events

Project management Establish clear project scopes and timelines, including resources needed and deadlines, for multimedia projects Leverage project management tools and partner with other power users to make best use of technology Adhere to editorial deadlines Source, manage and communicate with subjects related to video and photo assignments

Digital asset management Build, organize, maintain and distribute a library of digital assets (including raw video footage and photos) to share with campus content creators and external partners Adhere to naming conventions and tagging protocols for multimedia content Train campus partners to use the digital asset management system

Equipment management Manage, maintain and safeguard physical multimedia equipment, ensuring it is operational and secure Keep inventory of equipment and recommend necessary upgrades and/or replacements Manage multimedia equipment budget

Supervision Oversee and manage student workers to assist with the creation, organization and maintenance of digital assets

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience Proficiency in video production and editing 3+ years of work experience producing multimedia content specializing in videography and video editing Fluent digital editing skills with demonstrated expertise in video storytelling and software platforms related to digital editing (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Lightroom, Photoshop) Experience with professional-grade equipment for video production, including DSLR cameras, 4K video capture, lighting and sound

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Event and portrait photography Experience in higher education, science/lab settings or engineering/environmental work Experience in After Effects Experience managing a small team of content creators Experience with digital asset management tools such as C nto or Brandfolder Experience operating drones to capture video or photo footage

Salary and Benefits $71,200 - $78,900 Mines takes into consideration a combination of candidate's education, training and experience as well as the position's scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required in the role, work location, and external market and internal value when determining a salary level for potential new employees.
