Lilly is looking for exceptional, hardworking talent skilled in areas of product costing. The Associate Director, Product Costing, is a pivotal role within the Corporate Product Costing team, responsible for providing strategic IT project support and day-to-day operational guidance for all the product costing processes for the Manufacturing Organization. This position requires strong leadership, technical proficiency, and the ability to collaborate effectively across various teams and functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Network and collaborate with technical and business team members to ensure successful integration of product costing initiatives.

  • Support New Sites implementation in SAP.

  • Work on Nexus Stabilization Projects and provide oversight for Intercompany Toll and Virtual Toll processes.

  • Collaborate with Project Leaders to develop project timelines for manufacturing product costing processes, prioritizing efforts, and resolving conflicts.

  • From process and technical aspects support annual business planning related to manufacturing plant cost center expense planning and standard costing. Also, support the corporate process related to group valuation standard costing, reporting, and change analysis.

  • Provide feedback and support to front-end master data resources, assisting in resolving problems and gap analysis.

  • Proactively identify and resolve complex product costing issues, considering their impact on areas such as variances analysis, inventory movements, accounting entries, supply chain, and product types.

  • Make informed decisions to optimize solutions across financial components and business geographies.

  • Maintain documentation and understanding of relevant system programs for product costing.

  • Lead and/or contribute to other SAP/IT and Continuous Improvement Projects.

  • Address ad-hoc business requests.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in areas of finance, product costing and SAP.

Additional Skills/Preferences:

  • Preferred qualifications include an CMA or CPA.

  • Prior experience in product costing and data stewardship.

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and work collaboratively across functions.

  • Demonstrated leadership qualities, agility, and adaptability in dynamic environments.

  • Uphold high integrity, fiscal responsibility, and take ownership of business outcomes.

  • Proven ability to find opportunities, influence direction, and exceed expectations on delivering results.

  • Technical knowledge of SAP especially related to costing and accounting as well as integration with other processes including production, material management, purchasing, sales, and intercompany processing.

  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.

Additional Information:

  • Expected domestic and international travel: 0 - 10% annually.

  • Flexibility to work outside normal core business hours as required.

  • This role is open to candidates in the US, Puerto Rico or Ireland.
