Aston Carter Financial Analyst in Atlanta, Georgia

Responsibilities:

  • Compiles and analyzes financial information for the organization.

  • Creates and analyzes monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and ensures financial information has been recorded accurately.

  • Records journal entries, performs variance analysis and account reconciliations.

  • Evaluates trends, identifies and investigates unusual or unexpected account variances

  • Prepares management ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed

  • Reconciles transactions by comparing and correcting data

  • Identifies financial variances by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts

  • Ensures general ledger accounts are maintained in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

  • Identifies opportunities for performance improvement across the organization

  • Promotes teamwork between operational groups and departments

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA a plus.

  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, financial planning & analysis, or other related fields.

  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills

  • Attention to accuracy and detail required

  • Excellent computer skills, especially with Excel

  • Excellent oral/written communication skills

  • Strong work ethic

  • Team player
